Transport instructions for refrigeration appliances
Issue
- How should the freezer be transported?
- How should the refrigerator be transported?
- How should you transport a fridge-freezer?
- Transport instructions for the refrigerator
- Can I switch the fridge on immediately after delivery?
Applies to:
- Refrigerators
- Freezers
- Fridge freezers
- Wine coolers
Resolution
- We recommend transporting the refrigeration unit in an upright position.
- If vertical transport is not possible, the fridge/freezer must always be transported on its back.
- A minimum 15 cm platform (platform height) at the top of the device is sufficient when the car/cart is horizontal.
- Terrain changes must be taken into account, for example a steep downhill section.
- After transport, wait at least 4 hours before connecting the appliance to the mains (this allows the oil to flow back into the compressor).
- The recommended waiting time is also indicated in the user manual.
