Cooker Hood does not start, does not work
Issue
- Cooker Hood does not start
- Cooker hood is not reacting to the ON/OFF button
Applies to:
- Cooker Hoods
Resolution
If the cooker hood won't start, the trouble might be down to the plug, the socket, or the electrical circuit. If the LEDs/lights aren't working, check the power supply first.
If the hood is plugged into a socket, try connecting a small appliance (e.g. a lamp or a kettle) to that socket to check whether it works.
If the appliance doesn't work:
- There might be an electricity-related problem specific to the socket.
- Check the circuit breaker or fuses.
If the power supply works:
- Reset it by unplugging or taking the plug out of the socket. Then wait 30 seconds and put the plug back in / restore the power to the hood.
If this doesn't sort the problem, get onto an Authorised Service Centre.
